Thankful Thursday

1. The end of evening and overnight shifts for a while.
Last night was Matt's last overnight shift this rotation!!  So thankful!  The 2 long weeks when he works 7 evenings then 7 midnights in a row with one day off in between are rough.  Rough on sleep, rough on the kids and rough on our marriage.  I am looking forward to spending some time together this weekend and being back to a 'normal' schedule for a while again!

2. Rock star husband
Seriously, he's the best.  This past week he has given up sleep so I could get a nap, stayed home with the baby so I wouldn't have to take all three to Cade's doctor appointment, mopped and swept the kitchen after I went to bed, had coffee set to be ready when I wake up in the mornings and made it a point to sit down and talk with me at the end of the day.  I love him. These acts of service have made me feel so loved and taken care of during a hard time of shift work.

3. Cookie Cake...need I say more?

4.  Target trip with Carter
Each week I try to either go grocery shopping alone or take one boy with me for some special alone time.  I've always enjoyed grocery shopping with a little companion in the front basket.  This week was Carter's turn and we had a blast.  He's always up for the free cookie at the bakery:)
5. Parks and Recreation
This is our new favorite show.  Matt and I have been watching at least one episode most nights after the kids go to bed.  I just love some Amy Poehler.
6. Laundry
Laundry is one of the most repetitive chores.  It's definitely  not my fave.  However, endless loads and piles of laundry to put away reminds me of the little ones running around my house and how some day there won't be as many little sock matches to find.  So I choose to be thankful for this daily task.
