Carter 18-19 Months

Oh sweet Carter, you turn into more of a big boy everyday.  These past 2 months you have definitely transitioned from sweet little baby to a rough and tumble toddler boy.  You still love to snuggle with Mommy though so for that I'm very thankful.  You still have such a sweet demeanor (most of the time) and LOVE your big brother.  I love watching the 2 of you play together more and more.  You will follow him everywhere and do whatever he does, good or bad. 

You can be as serious as they come but then 5 minutes later straight up goofy.  One of your favorite past times is sneaking into your sisters room and trying on her headbands.  You think its hilarious.  You also love to put a blanket on your head and run around the house 'scaring' us. 

Your vocabulary has really taken off over the past month or so and you can now repeat most words we ask and say many things on your own.  My favorite words you say are marshmallow ('mar mel o') Elmo (Melmo) and Cambrie Mae (Mae Mae).  Every night before bed you need all 4 pacis (ba ba), your zebra, blanket, Elmo and wa wa (water cup).  And every morning you proceed to hand me all these things before I get you out of bed.  Meal time is still a favorite as well as snack time.  Your favorite snack would be pretzals and marshmallows.  You've become a lover of cereal and milk this month and enjoy a bowl or two of Cheerios every morning. Thankfully, you aren't a very picky eater and will eat pretty much anything we set in front of you.   This month you've tried and loved chili, tomato basil soup, taco soup, enchiladas and poppy seed chicken.  Another favorite this month would be Mickey Mouse!  You are obsessed.  Its the only show you will actually semi sit and watch and you LOVE the songs.  Its so cute seeing you so excited over that mouse. 

You are still our little guy weighing in at 23lbs and only in the 9th percentile for height.  I love it!  You can still wear some 12 month clothes but moving into mostly 18months, size 4 diaper and moving into size 6 shoe. 

We love you so much sweet boy!  I'm very much in denial that you are not going to be the little baby of the family much longer! Your life is going to get a big change this coming month as you move from the baby of the family to the role of big brother.  I can't wait to see you with your little sister.  I know it may be rough at first but I have a feeling the 2 of you are going to be the best of friends as you get older.
