Carter - 1 Month

My baby is a month old! In some ways the past month has flown by and in others it has dragged on(perhaps the long nights are to blame...)

Carter is definitely an easy baby compared to his big brother. He's fairly laid back and is beginning to settle into a semi-schedule. This boy is definitely my little cuddle bug and I am soaking it in! They are only this little for so long. I am determined to soak in all his baby-ness before its too late!

He's weighing in at 9lbs. 2oz and is 22 in long. My long, skinny boy:)

The transition from 1 to 2 kids has been a little harder than I thought, but we're slowly getting the hang of things. We've all had our share of meltdowns and learning that life is going to look different. However, it's been so good for me. I'm learning that this is a season where we may stay home a little more than I'm used too and our outings are dictated by feeding & potty times. Yet, I wouldn't trade this season for anything. It is such a short time with both my boys so small. I am thankful that I get to be there Mommy and overwhelmed at times at the task of raising them to be men who love the Lord with all their hearts, soul, and mind.

I did venture to Wal-mart by myself with both boys last week, crazy I know. We survived with only one meltdown that was diverted with a promise to look at the cars section on the way out:) I would say a very successful first trip to the store.

Carter we love you and are so thankful you are apart of our family. We can't wait to watch you grow in the coming months!

Love the pictures. He's a Rogers...no doubt about it. Just as good looking as his Mom, Dad, and big brother Cade.

I can NOT believe it has already been a month! He is such a cutie-pie! Transitioning to two was really tough for me too...especially with the age gap being a bit close. It is a rough season, but just that...a season! Before you know it they will be rolling around playing with each other and asking for a sister! ;) You are doing GREAT! Love love those boys!
