I don't know what it is, but something about turning 2 made this child turn CRAZY! He is in full blown 2 year old mode. It's super fun, but man this kid wears us out! He doesn't stop going/talking from the moment he wakes up until the moment he goes to sleep. I'm not going to lie and say every day is easy because we definitely have our hard days (more often than I'd like to admit). Cade pushes our limits daily, but at the same time pushes us more to Christ daily. I can see some major sanctification taking place this year. So thankful.
So here's what are little 2 year old is up to these days....
He is a talking machine! Seriously, I'm blown away by the things he says on a daily basis. Some of the things are just stinking hilarious. Today I was folding laundry and he was being my 'helper', as he pulled one of Matt's shirts out of the basket he put it on his head and said "Mommy, check it out!" Other phrases I hear often, "Is it?" (What is it?) "Sele (Silly), Cade" "Mommy, do it" "Play Baskeyball!" "Cade, too?" "Watcha show?"
Cade is into all things cars, trains, trucks and sports. He LOVES digging and playing in the dirt. Typical boy. My favorite new thing lately though is his imaginative play is really starting to come out. He loves to pretend that he's on a boat with water all around us, or that he's cooking me a hot dog. I also get offered a diet coke often during the day....wonder where that came from? :) "Mommy, di coke?"
He's had some major transitions already this year and still has at least one more major one to go. I've been so impressed by how he has handled it all. He is sleeping great in his big boy bed and is getting the hang of the potty as well. We are officially out of diapers for the next 2 months! Now here's to hoping the transition to big brother goes just as smoothly :) He sure does love the baby Carter that's inside my belly though. He talks to Carter almost daily and is asking more and more often "Carter, out?" or "Carter, play cars?" So sweet!
Cade, we love you so much! You bring so much joy and laughter into our lives. Thank you for continually pointing us to Christ. Thank you for loving us unconditionally and giving us grace when we screw up. We are so excited to see what this year will bring in your life. We pray as you continue to grow and mature that you will begin to see more and more the redeeming love Christ has for you and your need for the cross.

He is so adorable, and I wish I was right there to hug on him and love him, but I'll do it from afar. I don't want him to forget who we are. :) You two are wonderful parents and we are so very proud of you both.
Love and hugs,
Gramma
Love that boy!
