Thanksgiving 2013

We traveled to Waco for Thanksgiving this year and spent some time with both sides of the family.  It was a great trip and we're so thankful for our family.  We did have one little down side to our trip, Carter fell while playing with brother on Thursday night.  We didn't think much of it at the time, but when he still wouldn't put pressure on his right foot Friday morning we did something was wrong.  We took him to Urgent Care Friday afternoon and X-rays showed a slight fracture in his lower right tibia!  They put him in a splint with instructions for us to take him to see orthopedic dr when we got home.  Poor guy couldn't walk!  He was such a trooper though and even figured out how to crawl/drag his leg around so he could get where he wanted.  I took him to orthopedic dr here on the Monday after and they took more X-rays to find that the fracture was a 'toddler fracture'.  It looked pretty insignificant and Carter was able to put some weight on it so they (thankfully) did not have to cast him.  Carter was pretty disappointed though because he had his heart set on a blue cast..ha! After a day or two of limping he was back to normal.  Never a dull moment with that boy.
