Legoland

In early August we made another trek down to Texas to have a little mini family reunion of Matt's side of the family.  His great uncle lives on a horse ranch down in Weatherford.  We spent the day out there and enjoyed some down time with some of his family from Albuquerque.  Such a fun day!!

Since we were already in the DFW area we decided to make a little family weekend trip out of it.  We left Weatherford Saturday night and headed for our hotel in Grapevine.  It was definitely an experience staying in a small hotel room with 3 small children.  Cade was the only one who slept!  Ha!  Thankful he's such a hard sleeper.  The next morning we surprised the boys with a trip to the Legoland Discovery Center.  It was a blast!  Cade loved every minute of it and aside from his exhaustion, Carter really enjoyed it as well.  A perfect place to take any lego lover in your life.  After a fun filled day we ended the weekend with some good friends in the area.  It was great to visit with them and catch up a bit.

Our little weekend vacay has me looking forward to more family excursions in the years to come!  Maybe next time we will all sleep a little better.
