Easter 2013

If I'm being honest I've started this post almost 10 times now.  I want to document our life during these 'little' years, I really do, but when I finally get a minute to sit down my mind is mush and I just want to eat ice cream on the couch or sleep.  Just being honest.

The week leading up to Easter and the weekend of were crazy so much so that we didn't even make our playdough mountain (gasp!).  We did enjoy a (very) quick trip to Waco to celebrate my Granny's birthday and to see family.  Earlier in the week we had a 'Happy Spring!' day where we gave the kids their Easter baskets, dyed eggs and had a backyard egg hunt.  Super low key and super fun!  Easter Sunday woke us up tired and worn out but the day ended up being sweet with a great worship service with our church family, a fun BBQ lunch and quiet afternoon enjoying the beautiful weather with neighbors.  Here are some of my favorite pictures of the festivities...

I tried taking this photo about 10 times and Carter didn't look up from his eggs full of candy once...

Egg hunt at Nonnie's!  My boys found the jackpot in the bed of the truck

Easter morning Resurrection Rolls...which actually were a major fail story wise but were still quite tasty.

My handsome boys.

Personality shot

Can't even handle it....this kid is too much!

When did he start looking so old?

First Easter dress experience
These two...
Two final thoughts...I almost cried that night over the fact that I didn't get a picture of all 5 of us.  I'm still not quite over it.  Also, I'd be fine if I never saw a candy egg or bunny ever again.
