Things you are enjoying and loving this month are Mickey Mouse, Elmo, books, puzzles, play doh, any kind of truck, playing with your brother and blocks. Your Elmo obsession has stepped up a notch this month and anytime we watch Sesame Street you yell "Melmo" consistently through the whole thing. If we see Elmo or Mickey Mouse anywhere while we're out (especially Target) you make sure anyone in a 20 feet radius of you knows about it. You take your Elmo and Mickey Mouse to bed with you every night along with Ze-Ze and your blanket. It's quite the entourage.
You are very good about entertaining yourself for a good amount of time. I am very thankful for that, especially during this season! You enjoy looking at books, doing your puzzles and playing with all the cars and trucks. This month you're book reading attention span has also lengthened and we can now get through longer books with you. Play doh is also a new fun activity you have been enjoying with Cade. The two of you have been playing together more this month as well but with this together playing there has also been a bit more sharing issues.
You are still a great eater and will almost always eat what we put in front of you. Some of your favorites are greek yogurt, pretzals, cheese, any kind of fruit, cucumbers, black beans, peas, pasta, cereal with milk, waffles and toast. You have been the early riser this month and wake up requesting a snack and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse or Jake and the Neverland Pirates. Usually you wake up pretty happy, but you are very set on this little routine. Your sleep habits have been a bit weird this month, but you're still a great napper taking a 2-3 hour nap each afternoon. At 20 months you still wear a size 4 diaper, size 18 month in shirts and most pants. You still fit into some of your 12 month stuff too. I would estimate that you weigh around 24-25 pounds.
Carter, you bring so much joy to our family. I love your little personality. You are quiet and introspective most of the time, but you are also our little clown. You like everything in its place and a huge help when it comes clean up time! The winter weather has not been your favorite and you were not impressed with the snow, too cold. I can't believe you are so close to turning 2! It seems like yesterday we were bringing you home from the hospital. We love you sweet boy!
