Halloween 2012

Halloween 2012 was a big hit that was celebrated for 2 days straight.  It was also the Halloween of 3 different costumes for Cade.  Why pick just one?  That'd be too easy for mom....

We started off the festivities yesterday at Cade's school party.  It as so fun and the first little school party he's had so far.  I loved getting to meet all his little friends.  Carter also enjoyed getting to hang out with the big kids for a while.  For this event Cade was Batman and Carter was just festive in his glow in the dark skeleton shirt.

Today we spent the morning at home enjoying the beautiful weather and doing a little Halloween crafting.  After rest time we loaded up and headed to the Weather Center where there was trick or treating for all employee families.  It was legit.  The boys loved walking around and seeing where Daddy worked.  Plus they gave out some amazing candy.  Definitely a new family favorite for Halloween.  For this outing Cade chose to be Tim Tebow from his Denver Bronco days.  Don't worry up until 5 minutes before we left he was planning on being the UPS man, which had been the plan for the whole month, but I wasn't up for the fight today.

My sweet little spiderman.  He was all about this trick or treating thing.  The kid who is usually not all about strangers was definitely about strangers handing out candy.  Awesome.

Then we came home and grabbed a quick dinner of Mummy Dogs.  Our Missional Community joined us and we set up hot chocolate and candy for all the trick or treaters.  Gabe came over and the big boys headed out around the block for some trick or treating.  They had a blast!  It was so cute to see the 2 of them run up to each door and yell trick or treat.  Love these sweet little buddies.  Oh and yes Cade decided to be a dinosaur about 3 minutes before walking out the door....

We are all exhausted but we had a fun day!  Cade is already asking to go trick or treating again tomorrow.  I had to break it to him that we now have to wait another year.  But no worries, Thanksgiving is right around the corner!!
