Our friends, the Adamsons, planned to come for the weekend and we were going to have our annual fall family fun day! Yay! Well they came all the way from east Texas for it to rain ALL weekend! Oh well, it was so good to enjoy some good catch up time with them. Plus the kids loved playing all together! They just had a baby girl a few months ago so it was fun to have a little taste of baby girl in our house too:)
After a fun, relaxing weekend we decided to try for Fall Family Fun Day
again on Monday. Thankfully Matt was off that day and we were able to
work something out. We decided to go low key on the pumpkin patch this
year and just go to a little patch that a local church puts on. The
boys were thrilled and I got maybe one good pic out of the bunch:)
Carter thought all the little pumpkins were balls and kept throwing them
all on the ground. I told Cade he could pick any pumpkin he wanted and
he chose one of the smallest ones. No complaining here! We ended up
getting 3 smaller pumpkins (one for each child) and then 2 extra
pumpkins for Cade's teachers.
Later that afternoon we painted our little pumpkins to put on display with our other fall decor. The boys loved painting and the pumpkins turned out quite nice. I was excited to be able to paint a girly little pumpkin this year! We ended our fun day at a local pizza place with friends. I would say that even though it didn't go quite as planned Fall Family Fun Day 2012 was a hit!
