Weekend

Its been a while since Matt's had a weekend off and we had no plans.  He's not off many weekends and we are normally traveling or have visitors on his off weekends.  We love seeing family and friends but it's so nice to have some time with just the 4 of us on a weekend.  Maybe one day this will become a normal for us.

It started off Friday with homemade waffles and a day of working in the yard and around the house.  My grandparents who live in Houston were driving through on their way to Tulsa and stopped in for dinner.  It was so good to see them!  Cade loved Grandad and wouldn't let him out of his sight.  I loved seeing my boys with them since we rarely get to see them now that we live in OK.

Saturday we headed up to Norman's Mayfair.  It was a little art festival that they have every year.  It wasn't just the most spectacular thing ever, but it was a nice day and we enjoyed walking around and looking at all the booths.  Cade did ride his first pony and thoroughly enjoyed himself.  This was huge for this kid who is normally pretty shy when it comes to trying new things.  We ended the day with some yummy tacos and outside playtime with our new friends, the Schills.

Today we enjoyed a restful Sunday at home and then had a sweet time of worship with our Providence Road family.

I'm so thankful for a slow weekend at home with my boys!!  Now to start the week refreshed.
