Carter-10 Months

 Oh dear...how can it be that my baby is 10 months old?!  This is one happy and content kid and I can't get enough of his goofiness and giggles!  I'm soaking in these last days of his baby-ness!  It won't be long before this kid is running after his big brother. Here are some 10 month stats on Carter bud

 Playing...this boy loves to PLAY!  Whether its him playing quietly and content on the floor or crazy tackle time with his brother he is all about it.  He's also really into playing 'ball' lately.  He loves to join Cade in a little basketball action.  Cade has even given him a special basketball.  I will hold Carter up to the goal and he will slam it in and then clap for himself.  So cute!  Carter is also more interested in brother's toys these days as well.  Give him a few matchbox cars and the kid is happy. 

 Eating...Carter has the eating thing down these days!  He nurses 3-4 times a day and then has 3 meals with us with the occasional afternoon snack. He is pretty much eating all finger foods except for the baby food pouches when we're out.  Just in the past week or so he has begun to branch out more and more.  For a while he was super picky!  Thankfully he will pretty much eat whatever I put on his tray these days. Carter loves him some Cheerios though!  Not to mention a little Chick Fil A:) He still only has the 4 teeth, but I think he may be working on a few more.

 Weighing...I'd say Carter is closing in on 19lbs these days.  I think he definitely hit a growth spurt in the last week or so.  He's still in size 3 diapers and 6-9 month shirts, but the boy is getting longer and needing 9-12 months in pants. 

 Sleeping...Well this month has been a little difficult in the sleep area for our little guy.  The boys are sharing a room in our temporary apartment and the first few weeks here were a bit rough.  Carter was waking 2-3 times a night!  Thankfully he's back down to only waking once and my hope is that when we move into our house next week we can work on getting that one gone! :)  He still naps twice most days, but does fine on one nap if we're out and about in the mornings.  I'm so thankful for a laid back baby!!

 Carter buddy, you bring so much joy and laughter into our family!  I love watching you grow and explore.  It's so fun seeing how much you love your big brother and finally able to play with him more and more.  You are always so happy and breaking out of your shyness more and more.  We love you sweet boy!
