Bye, Bye, Ba-Ba

Friday marked an important milestone in the Mosier Home.  Cade finally gave up his beloved 'Ba-Ba' (paci).  We have been talking for months that when he turns three then the ba-ba goes bye bye.  On Friday morning I was reminding Cade that his birthday was coming up very soon and the beloved paci would be leaving us.  He decided right then and there that he was ready to be rid of it.  He was ready to be a big boy!  So after much questioning and "it will be gone FOREVER" talks from Matt and I, off we went to the trash can to have a little goodbye ceremony.

I was so proud of the way he handled it.  I was the one getting a little teary...when did my baby become such a big boy?!  He gave it one last try and then dumped it.  There was much celebrating and clapping and phone calls to Nonnie and Mimi.  Yay!  He had done it!

Then came nap time...He has yet to nap since he bid farewell to his beloved ba ba, but he sleeps GREAT at night!  Therefore I guess I can't complain too much and he will at least play in his room alone for an hour each afternoon giving me a little bit of down time.

So we bid farewell to the ba ba and three hour afternoon naps.  Can't believe my boy is so big!
