Apple Orchard

At the end of September we went with our church playgroup to a local apple orchard.  We had a great time!  The field trip started out with a 30-40 minute presentation.  Suprisingly, Cade sat through almost the whole thing!  He did get antsy there at the end, but stayed relatively quiet in his seat.  After the presentation our group took a tour of the orchard/farm.  There were lots of other fruits, vegetables and animals grown on this particular farm.  We even got to pick our own apple! It was a beautiful day and such a fun experience! Plus, thanks to Nonnie and Aunt Kaci, Cade and I were able to enjoy this little outing by ourselves while Carter got some quality snuggle time.

In preparation for our trip to the orchard, Cade and I checked out some library books on apples and did a few activities at home to get some apple background.
