14 (ish) Months

My little man is 14 months old and LOVING life! He's learning so many new things everyday, it blows my mind. There are so many things that I want to remember about this little stage of his life. I took the idea from my friend Jenn to write down all the little things I want to remember in a notebook so I will always have it as a reminder.

Cade is so close to being a full blown walker!! He CAN definitely walk, he just doesn't always choose too. He walks a bit then will crawl the rest of the way. My favorite thing about him right now is that a lot of the time he will walk on his knees! It's hilarious!! Crazy kid. You would think it'd be easier and less painful to just use your feet, but whatever.

His communication skills are growing all the time and I am so thankful! Yes, we have days where I have no idea what he's trying to tell me but we are definitely making progress. His words these days are 'ou-si' (outside), ball, truck, keys, uh-oh(my personal favorite), and 'nack' - snack. I love his little words.

Cade's current obsession is with balls. He wakes up asking for them and points to anything round and says ball. So fun. He also enjoys all things outdoors. Yesterday we had our first experience with the trash truck and he loved it!! Reminded me of the days Treston and I used to watch the trash truck every week.

One thing I have learned is that we have a very sneaky little boy on our hands. He will try and sneak "a hit" (as Matt calls it) from his pacifier out of his bed when I'm not looking! Not only that, but when he finds one he will hide from me while he sucks on it. I'm a bit scared of what's going to happen when he gets older!

The only downside this month is that we found out he still has fluid on his ears that has been there since Christmas so his doctor is sending us to an ENT. We go in a couple of weeks to find out tubes or no tubes. He's been such a trooper through it all though!!

We love you little man and can't wait to see what you learn in the coming months.
