Happy Birthday Sweet Cade-o! I can't believe it's been a year since you joined our little family! In some ways it feels like it's gone so fast and in others it feels like you've been with us forever. You bring so much joy to our lives. The past year has been one of the most trying, refining years of my life and I wouldn't trade it for anything.
I will never forget the moment I first laid eyes on you little one. It was so surreal, this little squishy face looking up at me, needing me to care for your every need. So overwhelming and fulfilling all at the same time. We got to know each other this past year and it's crazy how I now know what you need when you need it (most of the time). You've grown more independent, but I try and savor the moments when you depend on me and need me. I know those days will be gone all too soon. So I will enjoy these crazy days where I have to watch your every move because you are into everything. I will be thankful everyday that I get to be your mommy.
You are such the busy little one these days. You are constantly moving, playing, talking or eating. Your laughs are contagious and I could just squeeze your little rolls all day long. You have become quite vocal in the past month and seem to know exactly what you're saying even if we have no idea what it is. My heart melted the day you said "Mama" and I love our special after nap cuddle time. Mealtime is still your top priority for the day and I think you might just eat us out of house and home any day now.
