So for a while now I've been researching into the world of digital scrapbooking. I finally came to the realization that I was never going to be the type to buy all the cute paper and make time to put all my pictures in and have a cute little book. I just don't have the time or patience for that, not to mention the space and money involved! That is when I learned of digital scrapbooking. You make the same cute little pages with just a few little clicks of the mouse!
The first thing I needed was a good software program. After lots of research I found that Photoshop Elements would be the best choice. Luckily I have mother in law who happens to be the queen of scrapbooking and just happened to have Photoshop Elements laying around. Amazing, I know. Once you have the software, there are so many websites out there with free paper images and layouts! It is amazing!! One of my favorite websites so far is Shabbyprincess.com. There is so much great stuff here!!! You just make your pages and either print them yourself or burn them to a CD and print them elsewhere.
Anyway, last night I started messing around and found that PSE is not really that hard to use and it really is so easy to make pages! There are lots of tutorials out there that show you exactly how to work the programs. I am super excited about all the things I will be able to make!! I already have several ideas for Christmas gifts! I may even attempt to make my own Christmas cards! Crazy I know!!
*I am not by any means a Photoshop expert. Seriously I just started playing around with it last night. I don't even know how to edit photos to make them super fancy like photographers, I just know that I made a really cute birthday card! However, I am excited to learn how to fully use the program so any helpful hints are welcome!!

I'm going to start next summer. I'm so excited to get into it!! I promised myself that I wouldn't start until I got rid of all my paper scrapbooking stuff. And I have alot. So I'm going to try to make a BUNCH of cards and make a couple more scrapbooks to get rid of it!!

You need to plan a trip down here so you can teach me!!!!!!!!!! I'd love to get into it but I just can't imagine taking the time to learn how to do it on my own. I can't wait to see some of your work.

OMG Erin, I just started doing this too a couple of weeks ago, and LOOOVE it! I love scrapbooking, but it takes forever and it's expensive! But I seriously think I have an addiction to digital scrapbooking now haha...even though I've only done one page!

Hey Mosiers loved your blog. I worked on a post partem floor as an LPN then it was a Mother baby unit for the last while I worked there. It was a large hospital and the unit decided to use RN and CNA's only. so after I worked there nearly 30 years! but not until after I got paid to sit and cuddle my new grandson who is now 14!!I will never outgrow my love for new mom's and dad's and babies!!

After 40 years of difficulty the dr's have told me I have Adult ADD and now I know why I had such a difficult time learning digital scrapping. Now I have some medication helping me better to s6tay on task I am loving it.
