We love the Olympics here at the Mosier home. However, we have some issues to take with the Olympic committee.

First, why does all the good stuff come on freakishly late at night (aka past Erin's bedtime). I mean seriously all week I have walked around in a daze because I stay up so late watching Michael Phelps or the amazing gymnasts. In fact one night we stayed up so late we heard gun shots at the bar across the street.

Second, what's up with 12 year old Chinese gymnasts? There's no way they are sixteen. This is even coming from someone who looks sixteen, but is really older. Matt thinks they all look similar to oompa loompas. The tallest on is like 4'9". We're not trying to hate on the short people, we are a short people loving family, but there's no way those kids are 16.

Finally, what's the deal with the men's synchronized diving apparel, or should I say lack of apparel? Put on some clothes people! Matt was seriously disturbed.

Although we must say we do love the Olympics! The defining moments that stay in our minds forever. Anyone else remember Atlanta 96 when Keri Strug hurt her ankle in the gymnastics finals? Great memories are made here.

GO USA!!!

Totally agree on the gymnast ages, did you here the ex-olympic coach say it was a joke b/c he knows the chinese govt. gives them their visas! Bold but probably true.

Also, Jonathan says that the mens divers have got to be sharing the womens volleyball "uniforms". How much tape are they using to keep those "suits" on?!?

I hope you were kidding about the gunshots.

They always save the best for last so you have to stay up half the night to finally watch what you wanted to watch 3 hrs ago. But it is usually worth it. M Phelps is awesome.

Seriously, those girls are 12. Maybe 10. Last night we were getting so frustrated bc Shawn Johnson and Nastia uhh..i cant spell her last name...had AMAZING routines and they got low scores. And then the little chinese girls got huge scores and messed up. Even the commentators were getting mad and making comments. If they hadn't won Gold and Silver, I think there would have been a lot of complaining! I sure would have been.

And yes, diving apparel. Wow. Ridiculous. I can't even watch it.

Go Michael Phelps! U-S-A..U-S-A

Amen on the children doing gymnastics, the "women's" volleyball, and the late hours.

I know, I even let Emma watch with us until 10:45 because it's a rare chance. We're even studying Greece this year and the first Olymics so it's educational.
It's hard to resist this urge to put my daughter in gymnastics. I just love watching it so much!
