This amazing woman was born on March 17th, which automatically makes this day great. No St. Patrick needed.
She is amazing. I can say, with 100% confidence (which is a lot for a weather nerd), that she has changed my life for the better since the day she entered into it. For those who don't know, Erin and I first met whenever her mom took me home from school during the 7th grade. She was really quiet and I talked a lot so we didn't really know each other then. We became reacquainted during the summer between our Sophomore and Junior years in High School. I pursued her for the entire next year, talking to her in the halls, asking her to come to my soccer games, but nothing. But near the end of the year we went to the movies with a group of friends and everything took off from there. We were together just under 5 years when we got married last June. I am incredibly blessed by her everyday. She makes my lunch everyday. She challenges me to memorize Scripture and lead her Biblically. She is an amazing cook (as my stomach attests) and laughs at everything I say. She is my perfect helper. I truly feel like Adam when he first saw Eve(Gen 2:23). Its so great to be able to celebrate this day as a married couple. I am extremely excited about celebrating many more birthdays with her. I love you Ernie!
Other News.....
Its been a good while since we blogged, and were sorry about that. Erin's been having a little bit of blog rebellion...basically she didn't want to update. I mentioned it a few times, but we could never come up with a good topic, so we just didn't do anything. Sorry devoted readers. We still love you, and we will try to update more.
During Spring Break, we went to Houston and stay with our great friends Nick and Carissa Vann. I (Matt) worked at the National Weather Service during the days while Erin hung out with Carissa. We had a really great time. The Vanns were so great, and we really enjoyed our time with them. Carissa is preggers and is due at the beginning of May, so the next time we see them they could have a new baby!! How great is that!!
In more excited news, I was baptized tonight (March 16th). Its something I should have done a long time ago (I have been a Christian since the 7th grade), but had not done yet. I was sprinkled as a child, but that is basically a pre-conversion baby dedication, not a believer's baptism. I didn't tell many people about my decision to do this (I think only Erin and the Bacaks knew, since Jax also got baptized). It has been something I have struggled to be obedient on due to the fact that I have been a Christian for a while, and I didn't see why I needed to do it. But the past few baptism services I have been struggling with why I hadn't done it yet, so tonight I did it. It was a great experience, and something I KNOW God calls for every believer. It must be a post-conversion event. It must be done as a show of faith in Jesus that you ALREADY have. The baptism itself does not save you. It is just a outward symbol of your decision to identify with Christ, and confirm your believe in Him as the only way for salvation and reconciliation with God.

Since facebook started informing me of Erin Mosier's upcoming birthday three days ago, I've been trying to remember her maiden name, and I cannot for the life of me think of it. That means that I love you two being married, (and just in general), and... I guess that my memory is no good.
Happy Day After Your Baptism Day! That's nice. I wish I could have been there.
I'll see you guys in a little over a month (for a visit... not a stay).
Happy Birthday, Erin (and Happy Baptism Matt)! I don't know if I will be able to attend the "princess and knight" party, but if I don't, I hope you have a wonderful time! I've really enjoyed getting to know you and Matt! Love you!
I'm so very proud of you Matt. Love you and Erin so much.

Well...here's my first post.
Matt, I'm proud of you and your decision to be baptized. What a great picture that is of you being baptized with Erin by your side. Erin, keep on challenging him to memorize scripture. Also, thanks for being a part of my Bible Study class this past Sunday. It truly meant a lot to me.
Daddy (Mr. Rogers)
