Hurricanes:
Now is one of the many times during the year that I get really excited about the weather. We have one TD in the Atlantic that has the potential to become the first major hurricane of the season. Wind shear looks to be a major factor (as usual). It will be interesting to see what happens with this storm. It will be a week or so before anywhere in the US would be impacted.
However, a weakly organized system now located at the tip of the Yucatan peninsula should be able to organize into a weak tropical depression and maybe tropical storm as it moves north. This could impact us here in the Brazos Valley with some rainfall.
Here's a satellite image of the storms I am talking about:
(Erin is going to be so happy I posted this!)Guitar Hero:
Erin and I have always loved this game. Many did not share our love, but only because they had never played. I recently brought this game over to the Hendrick's (the night of the Hairspray crazyness) and got Aaron, Anson, and Ryan all hooked. Then Heather played...she was truly rocking for the first time in her life (at least I like to think it was the first time) and has not been able to stop playing yet.
Over the course of the weekend many were able to experience the feeling of rocking out for the first time and I am very glad I was able to help. I feel like I am making a difference in the world. Everyone needs to experience the feeling of "rocking out"
If you haven't played this game, you should. You can come over anytime and play it. You wont be able to stop. Please stop by and rock out. It will be worth your time.

There are many things I love about this post, Matt!
I love that you identified yourself as the writer early on. Remember how I feel about that.
I love the weather info. This is the kind of blog my husband might read.
I love that you didn't include how poorly I did at Guitar Hero this weekend.
I love the picture in my mind I still have of you and your beautiful wife doing some mad, crazy things on those fake guitars.
I just love you guys!

I wish I could come by anytime and play guitar hero anytime. I had fun playing it with ya'll the other day! Miss you both!!
so did you buy the new one, the 80s? josh got it on saturday, he was pretty darn excited about it. oh ps, soon we will be considering a weekend or two to come down... so YAY!
umm... so true... thank you mosier's for making my life complete! I'm trying to convince my dad that he "needs" this game. I can't think of a better way to spend my time here at home!
Which relates to the other part of your post. Hurricanes... My dad is an insurance agent, and he has been glued to the TV watching this newest potential hurricane. Our town got all screwed up when Rita hit 2 years ago, so now whenever ANYTHING steps foot in the gulf, people start running to walmart thinking it's the end of the world.
In the event that this thing came our way again... which it doesn't really appear to be... you are more than welcome to drive down to our house and watch it first hand!
Matt
I can not believe that you have not focused on TROPICAL STORM ERIN - for crying out loud! Coincidence - I think so! Anything to break this awful heat up! Any chance this thing will upgrade?
