Fall Family Fun Day 2011

A couple of weeks ago we had our 3rd annual Fall Family Fun Day! Our friends Myles and Katy joined in on the fun as well.  I'm pretty sure now that they've come all three years it's pretty much a given that they will join us every year:)
They made it in late Wednesday night so we started our festivities on Thursday morning with pumpkin pancakes.  Delicious!  After a lazy morning while the babies napped we headed out to lunch and then to the pumpkin patch.  Lunch with 2 babies and a toddler/preschooler was quite the circus, but we survived....barely.  We decided against the Flower Mound pumpkin patch this year and went with a more local venue.  I was not that impressed, but everyone assured me it was fine.  I'm still a bit disappointed in the pumpkin patch though.  However we did get a few good pictures, well as good as you can get with a ornery 2 year old.  Here are a few...

Sun was too bright for Little C

Looking at the camera is overrated

Carter's take on his first encounter with a pumpkin.

Still a bit unsure

He always finds the best spot to dig

The pumpkins aren't so bad afterall, Mom.

After the pumpkin patch we came home for a little rest and hang out time.  How cute are these two little guys?!  Eli is about 6 weeks older than Carter.  We were so excited to finally meet him.

We had some yummy White Chicken Chili for dinner with carmel apples for dessert, or sprinkle apples as Cade likes to call them.  After the boys all went to bed the 4 of us stayed up way too late chatting and getting really into a game of Monopoly.  I'll admit I actually enjoyed playing that game for the first time in my life.

Overall Fall Family Fun Day 2011 was a success!!  Can't wait for next years fun!  Matt thinks I look forward to this tradition more than I do Christmas.  I'm not sure about that, but it is on the top of my favorite family activities!
