Yum!

I found this yummy granola recipe online. It is so good and super cheap to make!! Yogurt, granola and fruit is one of my favorite snacks, but granola can be so expensive! Now I have a way to make it whenever I want it.

Here's the recipe:

1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
cinnamon
dash of salt
8 cups oats
anything else you would like to add (nuts, dried fruit, etc.)

Melt the butter and brown sugar over stove. Add cinnamon and salt. Simmer for 2-3 minutes. Add oats and other add-ins. Coat evenly. Pour onto baking sheet (with sides) bake at 350-375 for 10 minutes. Cool and break apart. Yummy!

Hope you enjoy!! Let me know if you try it with other add-ins you think are good.

We do this one.

Honey granola

3 cups dry oatmeal
1/2 cup margarine (1 stick)
1/2 cup honey
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup each nuts and dried fruit (optional)

I just heat the honey and oats in a pan (smells so good) then pop it in the oven for 10 minutes.

We don't do the butter or salt. But i do add almond, cranberrys, pretty much any dried fruit. Easton gets chocolate chunks sometimes too. I just hand everyone a mason jar and we just add what we like.
We go through ours so fast. There's even a recipe for brown sugar and peanut butter granola.

I too love granola and yogurt, or just poping it in the microwave with a little milk.

Thanks for reminding me to make some.

THIS IS SO GOOD!
I made it already, and it's fabulous! I'm never buying granola at the store again.
Thanks Erin!
