One Month Already!

I can't believe our little man is already a month old! Crazy how fast the time goes. He has grown and changed so much over the past month. It seems that everyday he interacts with me a little more. My favorite time with him is in the morning right after he eats, he is very alert and playful. He's just so darn cute!

Some things he's learning/enjoying now:
Being outside
Bath time (once he's actually in the tub)
Eating
His swing
His bouncy seat
Listening to Daddy tell him stories
He's beginning to try to hold his up more and more
Did I mention he loves to eat?
Snoring(seriously this kid is loud!)

Now I'm not going to lie and sit here and say this month has been super easy because it hasn't. It's been hard! However, I wouldn't trade it for anything. Motherhood is an amazing gift from the Lord, but it also a refining one. God is refining me more and more everyday, chipping away little pieces of my selfish, prideful self as we go. It's rough, but I'm so thankful that God chose me to be Cade's mother. I look at the way he needs me, depends on me, loves me unconditionally and realize that is how we should be in our relationship with the Lord. We can do nothing apart from Him, just like Cade can do nothing apart from me right now. We have to depend on his strength, his love and his kindness, his grace to make it through our days. I will be honest and say I'm learning this the hard way. I've tried to depend on my own strength many times and everytime I fail, but each time God is there to pick me up and love me right where I'm at.
