Thank you all for checking in on us after Monday's tornado. We are fine but are neighbors just a few miles north of us are not. We have friends who were directly affected by this storm. The devastation and damage is horrific but there have also been many stories of hope come out of this tragedy. I read tonight where 12,000 homes have been destroyed! That is unreal! There is an estimated 33,000 people who have been directly affected by this nightmare.
I have been blown away by the way the community has come together already to help the city of Moore. However, there will still be needs in the next weeks and months to come as the people who have lost EVERYTHING begin putting their lives back together.
The best way to help right now is by giving monetarily. Our church Providence Road has set up a way to donate directly to help (long term and short term) in these ways.
- Andrew Burkhart, pastor of Love and Justice, another Acts 29 church, lost his home and all of his families belongings.
- Other families involved at Love and Justice Church
- The Chick Fil A in Moore owned by some of our dear friends as they reach out to individuals in the community.
- Here's the link to the secure donation site
