Carter: 22/23 Months

I can't believe that this little boy is going to be TWO next month!!  That just can't be possible.  He's still my baby, but he's definitely all boy these days.

Carter is so goofy!  This kid is funny and he knows it.  He will do just about anything for a laugh.  He thinks its hilarious to sit in all Cambrie Mae's baby things (swing, bouncer, etc) Carter is also a huge fan of 'bubba' aka Cade and is Cade's constant shadow.  They love each other but they also fight like brothers.  Carter can definitely do his fair share of antagonizing.
Carter's vocabulary has taken off this past month and he is now stringing several words together.  Some of my favorite Carter phrases are "I not like it" "The Most (in response to me saying I love you)" "Gummmmyyyy!!! (when he wants a vitamin gummy)" "I dunk it (in the basketball goal)" "Carter(or Bubba, Dadda or Mama) did it."  I love his little voice!
Some of Carter's favorite things right now are playing outside, basketball, eating any kind of carb, Ipad time, books, Cade, Mae Mae, chips and salsa, swinging at the park, bath time, and big trucks.
He got his first, much needed haircut this month.  Needed to cut down on the shag.  Not sure on his exact weight, but my guess would be somewhere in the 25lb range.  He still wears size 4 diaper and size 18-24 month clothes. His eczema really flared up since the beginning of the year so our pediatrician sent him to a dermatologist.  So after some topical and oral steroids we got it back under control.  However, even with the continued grease downs twice a day mosturizers his skin has flared back up since he's been off the steroid. We go back to the dermatologist later this month so we will see what she says.  I hate to see his skin so bad and him so itchy and uncomfortable.
I'm crazy about this little boy!  So thankful God chose me to be his mommy.  Can't wait to see what's in store in the coming months as he turns two!! We love you Carter!

I keep meaning to ask my pedi about vitamins. I'm not giving anything to Pearson. Should I be? When did you start the gummy vitamins??

Hi Erin. :) Elliot has eczema too (Jack actually does as well) & it has really helped to cut dairy out of his diet. I think gluten might affect him too. Not sure if you've tried modifying his diet, but it might be worth a shot!
