Happy Thanksgiving!!

This was the first year we have spent Thanksgiving away from both of our families. The whole being 36 weeks pregnant and driving to Texas just didn't seem like the best or most fun idea. No worries thought, we will be seeing both families quite a bit in the coming weeks!

To be honest I was a little depressed going into this day.  However, it turned out to be such a good day and really brought out a lot of thankfulness in my heart.  We definitely missed our families but thanks to texting and Facetime we were able to see and keep tabs on their days.

Carter showing Elmos that he was in the parade.  It was so cute!  As soon as he saw Elmo on TV he ran to his room to get his little stuffed Elmo.

Matt has been off for an entire week and we've had such sweet time with our little family of four!! I'm so thankful we had this week, it was much needed and well spent.  We were also able to spend the afternoon/evening with some sweet friends here and enjoy a big Thanksgiving dinner and lots of fun playtime for the kids and chatting for the adults.  So relaxing and refreshing! The parade was also a huge hit and new tradition for Cade.  He LOVED it!

Our day may have looked different than it has in years past but it was a fun day filled with excitement, thankful hearts and enjoyment of one another. My heart and belly are definitely full tonight!

My one regret....no family picture or pics of me with the kids.  I really must get better about this!!
