First Trimester

I have done a horrible job at blogging this pregnancy(and just blogging in general lately) and since this is my way of keeping a family scrapbook I better get on it.

After a lot of denial in being over a week late I took a pregnancy test on April 19th.  Surprise, it was positive!  Matt and I were both a little shocked at first and decided we would wait a bit to tell people.  This was of course after I had sent out an SOS text to Meg and Jen P. :)  That weekend all our family was coming up to celebrate Carter's first birthday.  We wanted to the weekend to be all about our 2nd born so we held off on telling family while they were here.  I was still in shock and not quite ready to share our exciting news yet anyway.

We sent our parents a cute little card with our announcement the week of Mother's Day.  They were all very excited and a little surprised.  I had my first doctor's appoint on May 18th.  She gave us the estimated due date of December 17th. Even though I was sad to have to find a new doctor here I really like her a lot.  After much waiting and anticipation we finally got to see our little peanut on sonogram on June 5th!  I was 11 weeks along and after the sonogram they officially set my due date as December 21st!

Around the end of April all the first trimester symptoms came on in full force.  Thankfully, I never got sick but I felt nauseous pretty much all day.  The worst for me this time around was the exhaustion.  I've never been so tired in my life, even in the early newborn days with the boys! I'll just be honest and say that May was a long month and Cade probably watched a little more TV than I normally would allow, but we all survived!  Since entering my second trimester I've been feeling much better and not near as tired all the time.

This pregnancy has flown by!!  As each week passes we are more and more excited to meet our sweet baby!  I can't believe we will find out WHO this sweet one is this week.
