Carter - 12 Months

 Carter is 12 months old. This little guy is full of joy and energy all day long!  He's a crazy fast crawler with no desire to walk anytime soon.  Even though he's now a year old, he's still a baby in my book, at least for a few more months.  Here's what Carter has been up to this past month.

 Playing...This kid loves to play!!  Whether its sitting and playing with a bucket of toys by himself or laughing and chasing big brother around this kid is all about the playtime.  This month I've really enjoyed watching the boys interact more and more with one another.  They still mostly play side by side but slowly are starting to play more together.  I would say Carter's favorite thing to play with right now would be any type of ball and any outdoor activity.  He LOVES to be outside. 

 Saying...not really any new real words this month but he his 'talking' more and more.  He will look at you and just jabber away like you should know what he's saying.  He's still really into Pico 'co' and said Cade a few times this month.  He's also pretty good at pointing at whatever he wants to get it.  The kid knows what he wants.  He'll also point to someone or something if you ask where he/she/it is. 

 Eating...The kid is an eating machine!  He loves most any foods I give him.  I weaned him this month and he is really enjoying whole milk.  He drinks about 2-3 cups of milk a day.  Every morning when he wakes up the first thing he wants is his snack cup of cheerios and cup of milk.  Carter also started taking a paci this month, weird I know, but it seemed to help him through the weaning process. 

Sleeping...Carter is still a great sleeper.  He is waking earlier these days, but sleeps all night and takes two 2 hour naps each day.

Weighing...Carter weighs 19lbs 11oz and is 28 inches long.  He's under 25 percentile for both height and weight.  He's our little guy! He still wears 9-12 month clothes and size 3 diapers.

Loving/Hating...Carter loves his brother, Pico, his zebra, being outside, playing at the park, cheerios and graham crackers.  I wouldn't say he really hates anything except when I hold his hands and try to make him walk.  He won't sit still for anything, especially TV and reading books.  He's also getting quite feisty about meal time and letting us know when he's hungry.

Carter STILL only has 4 teeth so I'm assuming all of them will be coming in at the same time.  Lovely.
