Our sweet boy is 8 months old. He is so much fun these days and as goofy as ever. He's discovering new things everyday and I can already tell that this one is going to keep me on my toes. Here's what Carter's been up too this month.
Playing/Learning...Carter has learned several new tricks this month. He has now mastered the wave. He's very proud of his new trick and busts it out often. Carter is now officially mobile and is scooting/crawling EVERYWHERE (much to mine and Cade's dismay). He is into a lot already and I'm sure it will be getting worse in the coming days. This kid is constantly moving whether on the ground or in your lap, he is hardly ever still. He loves to sit/crawl on the floor with his big brother. As long as Cade is playing in the room with him Carter is content. Earlier this month I walked in to Cade's room to Cade tackling Carter and Carter thought it was the best thing ever. I for see lots of wrestling matches in my living room.
He is still a huge fan of bathtime and has been promoted out of his baby tub and up to sitting in the big tub with Cade. They have so much fun together and Cade has only tried to drown him once :)
I've also walked into get him from his naps to find him sitting up in his crib. It's only a matter of time before I walk into a baby standing in his crib! Time to lower the mattress:)
Growing...Carter weighs about 17.5lbs. He's finally filling out more of his 6-9 month outfits. We're still in size 3 diapers and 6-12 month clothing.
Eating...Carter is now eating 3 meals of baby food a day and nursing about 4 times. He's not super into table food yet, but has tried cheerios, cucumbers, black beans, cheese, yogurt, avocado. He's slowly getting the hang of feeding himself but prefers baby food and for us to feed him. Still only has the 2 bottom teeth but his top 2 are working their way through.
Sleeping...Oh Carter you have decided that sleeping through the night is not for you this month. You've been waking once or twice in the night again. I'm hoping it has to do with your top teeth cutting through and not that you just don't want to sleep. You go to bed around 7:30 and usually are up by 8. You are so happy in the mornings! You nap twice a day but not at a set time, just whenever it fits into the days schedule.
We love you sweet boy and have so enjoyed you this past month. I am so thankful for you and can't imagine our family without your sweet smile.
Carter loves Pico and the feeling is quite mutual. Pico will just lay on the ground and let Carter pull on him and pet him.
