Pumpkin Cookies

As stated before I love fall and all things pumpkin! This week I found a recipe for pumpkin cookies and thought I'd try it out. Well......they were AMAZING!! Seriously, you should stop right now and go bake them. A yummy fall treat. I made them yesterday afternoon and then we ate them while watching The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. I just love Fall!!!

Pumpkin Cookies

Cream together 1 cup of butter and 1 cup sugar

Add:
1 egg
1 cup pumpkin
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder

Add nuts if desired (I did not). Bake @ 375 for 15ish minutes.

ICING (the best part!!)
Melt 3 TBSP butter, add 4 TBSP milk and 1/2 cup brown sugar. Boil for 2 minutes and cool. Add 1 cup powdered sugar and 1 tsp. vanilla. Drizzle icing over cooled cookies. Enjoy with a class of milk!

And since no post is complete without a picture of my crazy Cade.....

We sure do love books around here these days.

I love the recipe! I can't wait to try it, maybe tomorrow.

Its so great to see Cade loving books. The boys have always liked them also and we use them as rewards now. If they are getting a reward for something we'll take them to half price books and they can get a book or two and we always let them buy at least one book at the book fairs at school, they reread those books constantly.
