Recipe Time!

I love when people put recipes on their blogs for me to try! One of my favorite things to do is try new recipes. I get tired of eating the same things all the time and I just love trying new things in the kitchen! So I thought I would give our beloved readers some new recipes to try. Here are some Mosier family favorite recipes. Enjoy!! Feel free to leave your family favorites for us to try!

Mushroom Tortellini

1 lb cheese tortellini
1 pkg sliced mushrooms
1/4 c. white wine
1 T parsley
2 cloves minced garlic
8 oz Alfredo sauce (I buy sauce in a jar because it's easier)
salt and pepper to taste
Parmesan cheese

Cook and drain pasta. Rinse mushrooms. In medium skillet over low heat, combine wine, parsley, garlic, and mushrooms; stirring frequently. Saute for about 5 minutes or until mushrooms are cooked through. Remove from heat and slowly add Alfredo sauce, stirring to blend; season with salt and pepper. Serve over pasta and garnish with cheese.

Italian Pie (This is one of Matt's favorites. I'm pretty sure he would eat it at least once a week)
1 lb ground beef
1 16 0z jar pasta sauce
2 cups mozzarella cheese
2 cans crescent rolls

Brown meat and drain. Add pasta sauce, cook for about 5 minutes. In 9x13 baking dish, roll out first can of crescent rolls. Layer meat mixture and cheese. Top with second can of crescent rolls. Cover and bake at 350 for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 15 minutes. Super fast and delicious!

Chicken Caesar Pasta Salad (This is super easy to throw together in a hurry)
Cooked Chicken Breast (A lot of time I use the precooked frozen fajita chicken from HEB)
Cooked Penne Pasta ( I just eyeball how much I use here, depends on how many I'm feeding)
Romaine lettuce
Cherry tomatoes
About a 1/3 cup Caesar salad dressing
Crumbled feta cheese

Combine all ingredients and toss well to coat.

I hope you enjoy these few recipes. I will post some favorite dessert recipes later.

Erin,
I got all of the ingredients for the tortellini the other day in my mad dash Grocery Olympics, but I couldn't find white wine...and there was not time to look...and I couldn't send the kids after it...they can only grab the items they recognize, like diapers, ketchup, and bananas.
So if you have some, can you bring me a quarter cup of white wine tomorrow?
See you soon!
