Its really hard to believe its been a year since we were married. We can't believe it went by so fast.
Its been a great year. So many things have happened that we could have never dreamed of. We had our "perfect" plan but God had other plans which, of course, have turned out so much better than we could have imagined.
We got to know so many more people this year. We look back at when we got married and realize how many people we consider close friends were not even there because we didn't know them at all. We have just been so blessed by Living Hope and everyone that we have become so close with over this past year.
Marriage has grown us and stretched us in ways we never could have imagined, but all for the better. It truly is a process of sanctification. We heard many people say things about how the first year was the hardest. That could be true, but we didn't feel that way. We thought it was so much fun. We laughed so much and had such a good time just being together. Maybe thats the difference in truly trusting in God's design for marriage. We had a lot of great, Biblical preparation for marriage (which we highly recommend) and that has made an amazing difference in our lives. The idea of selflessness promoted in the Bible is the root of what our marriage is based on. We are not perfect by any means, which is why the idea of selflessness is so amazing, since as long as one person is being selfless fights don't happen and things can always be worked out. Its just amazing to see how God has blessed us for being obedient to Him and His Word.
We are really excited about year 2 and all the fun that its going to bring!!

I can't even believe it's been a year since we danced at your wedding! I can't believe our little newlyweds have a year behind them already...you guys are growing up, you know?

Brian told me a few weeks ago that you were pregnant!! CONGRATULATIONS! He told me that ya'll hung out too, and I was immediately taken back to Diary Queen and awkward comments/ conversations :)
